Current Productions at the Gate Theater
The Gate Theater Group, in keeping with their mission statement, is seeking to enhance development of youth in the theater arts through cooperative ventures with local schools via workshops and sharing resources.
Future outreach productions and classes will be open to young people from 13 to 18 years of age and focus on providing quality theater training for the beginner exploring acting for the first time as well as advanced level study for the young person with previous experience.
Classes will be geared towards developing imagination, concentration, working with others, exploration of character, and the development of technique in acting. Learning to respect people and the creative process will be essential in the program. The training opportunities will place students in a position to play the young roles in productions staged by The Gate Theater Group.
The Gate Theater Group seeks to empower young people to strive for excellence in their lives, while embracing an atmosphere of safety that encourages exploration.
Blithe Spirit

Auditions for Blithe Spirit will be held at a future date in the Studio Theatre, 7th Floor, Kad Suan Kaew. All parts are available and the character breakdown is as follows: Charles Condomine - a successful novelist, sophisticated and witty. Ruth Condomine - Charles’s second wife, charming but forceful. Madame Arcati - an eccentric medium, bizarre but serious about her abilities. Elvira - the deceased first wife of Charles, flirtatious and scheming. Dr Bradman - a friend of the Condomines, sceptical but rational. Mrs Bradman - Dr Bradman’s wife, a country gossip, slightly dippy. Edith - the Condomines’ maid, nervous and slightly inept, east London. All characters – Edith excepted – will require a British accent with received pronunciation.
