The Gate Theater Group is a community theater company established in October of 2007. Our aim is to establish a permanent non-profit English language Theater group within the old city of Chiang Mai where residents can become involved in the performing arts, while seeking to entertain, inform, and educate. Thereby, enriching the cultural life of the Chiang Mai area in general and the English speaking residents of the community in particular.
The primary focus of this page is to encourage your support as a sponsor. Because without you, the theater going public, live theater can not survive in Chiang Mai.
As a sponsor, you will become part of an artistic movement in Chiang Mai which has created the first ever English Language Theater Group in this great city. You will also be helping us to continue the challenge of creating a viable art form which, for a long time, was missing in this great city. The residents of Chiang Mai and the many tourists who visit are becoming aware of how significant a venue for enjoying English Language Theater can be. A place where they can come to experience a taste of western culture through the performing arts will only serve to make the city more vibrant and richer in culture.
Your sponsorship will enable us to:
- To stage approximately four productions per year, which will be predominantly drama and comedy, with one additional play for children?
- To be recognized as a significant cultural asset by the local community.
- To develop and draw from local talent to the maximum extent possible.
- To enhance development of youth in the theater arts through cooperative ventures with local schools via workshops and sharing resources.
- To sustain and increase recognition and financial support to talented youth through scholarships and other means.
- To present quality family entertainment while creating opportunities for young people and adults to develop talents in all aspects of theater arts.
- To express artistic, civil and educational abilities and interests in our community and bring an enjoyable theatrical experience to our community.

In order to support our current and future productions and professional development opportunities, The Gate Theater Group requires donations to cover our operating costs.
Your donation will not only serve as the catalyst in making The Gate Theater a celebrated cultural presence, but it will provide the means and support to bring together the Chiang Mai creative arts community.

The Gate Theater is offering the opportunity for any organization, business or individual to become a Founding Sponsor with a donation of 20,000 Baht or more. In addition there are other levels and types of sponsorship that are available. Below are listed the various levels and the conditions associated with each level.
The Gate also offers you the ability to create your own level of sponsorship. If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience.
PLATINUM SPONSOR 20,000 Baht minimum donation:
Personal name or Company name and logo recognized as a sponsor and printed on:
• Playbills and all posters printed for shows
• VIP listings on Gate Theater Group’s official website
• All press releases given to local newspaper and news organizations
• Opportunity to have a table set-up in theater lobby to distribute company brochures,
Publications, or other media
• Full page advertisement in the event program
• 10 free tickets to every production in the season (prior booking must be made)
Note: Dinner Events: Meal must be paid for separately & reservations made in advance.
GOLD SPONSOR- 10,000 Baht minimum donation:
• Personal name or Company name and logo recognized as a sponsor and printed on:
• Playbills and all posters printed for shows
• Full page advertisement in the event program
• Company banner displayed in theater or lobby during productions
• 6 free tickets with reserved seating to every production in the season
Note: Dinner Events: Meal must be paid for separately & reservations made in advance.
SILVER SPONSOR - 5,000 Baht minimum donation:
• Personal name or Company name and logo recognized as a sponsor and printed on:
• Playbills and all posters printed for shows
• VIP listings on The Gate Theater official website
• 4 free tickets to every production in the season (prior booking must be made)
Note: Dinner Events: Meal must be paid for separately & reservations made in advance
PATRON - 2,500 Baht minimum donation:
1/2 page advertisement in the event program
• 50% Discount on all tickets purchased for the season (prior booking must be made) Note: Dinner Events: Meal must be paid for separately
• Companies name announced during program as a Patron sponsor
• Company banner displayed in theater or lobby during productions
• Opportunity to have a table set-up in theater lobby to distribute company brochures, publications or other media
ALTERNATIVE SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:
• Sponsorship of any or all technical Support
The package includes: sponsorship of any fees related to Lighting & Sound equipment and supplies for creating scenery or special effects for a production
• Sponsorship of any or all printed promotional materials
The package includes: sponsorship of any fees related to the creation and printing of either: posters, flyers, or programs
• Sponsorship of all T-shirts
The package includes: sponsorship of any fees relating to the creation and printing of The Gate Theater T-shirts
• Name and logo will appear on back of T-shirt
• Sponsorship of The Gate Theater official performance video
The package includes: sponsorship of any fees related to the filming of the event and the replication of the official video
