The Gate Theater Group is a legally recognized Ordinary Partnership under Thai law, established as a non-profit, membership-based social club whose mission is to produce professional-quality English-language theater in Chiang Mai and the surrounding region.

Membership & Participation

To safeguard our community and mitigate immigration and visa risks associated with “working” or “volunteering” while living in Thailand, general membership is required for anyone participating in club operations or productions. This includes acting, directing, managing, designing, crew work, or assisting with day-to-day activities.

• General Membership: Free and granted automatically whenever you are cast in a production or invited to assist behind the scenes.

• Tiered Memberships: Standard enhanced membership tiers are currently closed; however, our Golden Gate Membership remains open for dedicated patrons looking to make a lasting impact on our stage.
